CULTIVATE: A Weekend Retreat to Explore Your Practice On & Off the Mat

September 7-9, 2018

We are all looking to create balance, ease and a sense of contentment within. Throughout this 3-day weekend retreat, Lauren will incorporate yoga philosophy, dharma, asana and meditation to shed light on the ways the yoga practice goes beyond the physical practice on the mat. Through discussion, journaling and 4 asana practices you will dive into what it means to "live your yoga" from the inside out.

This special weekend is meant to be expansive, inspiring and meaningful; an opportunity to deepen your practice while spending time out of the city to reconnect to yourself and your priorities. The retreat will take place at a beautiful French-style farmhouse located just 90 minutes from San Francisco.  Over the course of the weekend we will enjoy 4 yoga classes on the outdoor yoga deck overlooking the vineyards, garden and all-natural pond. Also included in the weekend is a group cooking class, farm-to-table meals prepared by a private chef and plenty of time to rest and relax on this majestic property.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Schedule

Yoga, meditation, journaling, farm tour and meal time will provide a loose structure for the weekend, leaving plenty of time to connect and enjoy The Farm. For those wishing to explore this part of the delta, consider brining your bicycle to ride around the island. Visit Bogle Winery on the neighboring island. Check out Locke, the last standing Chinese settlement built in the late 19th century. Or simply walk the fields.

About Lauren Cohen

As a dancer and competitive figure skater since the age of four, Lauren has always loved the art of movement and understanding more about the mind/body connection. She completed her first 200-hour training in Cleveland, Ohio during her final year of college and moved to San Francisco in 2014 to pursue her teaching. She has since completed more than 500 hours with Jason Crandall and Janet Stone and continues to be inspired by her fellow community of teachers. She now teaches public, private and corporate classes around the city and leads retreats all over the world. Lauren teaches a soulful, fluid, dynamic vinyasa class rooted in creative and intelligent sequencing with a focus on maintaining a balanced, even breath rhythm. Through her classes she hopes to inspire students to live their yoga on and off the mat; to connect with the practice beyond the physical movements and to help cultivate intuition, ease and centeredness within.
