Questions about The Farm

Do most people go by themselves, or do people typically go with friends/couples?

It's a real mix, a lot of people come on their own and many come with a friend(s).

Are most people who go really into yoga, like training to be teachers, and doing headstands all the time?

No! Retreats are appropriate for all people who appreciate the benefits of the yoga practice, who are looking for a beautiful, playful, conscious experience and to be surrounded by like minded yoga loving friends.

What is the age range?

Although age range varies from young twenties to late sixties, I would say the majority of retreat goers are in their 30s.

What if I don't have a car? Is there shared or public transport?

Yes! We will work to find you a shared ride up to The Farm with another retreat-goer or retreat staff. Also a BART pick up at the end of the Pittsburg/Baypoint line is an option as well!

Should I bring my own mat?

The Farm does have mats & props for your use, however, most people prefer to bring/use their own.

What if I have allergies?

As part of the pre-arrival experience, we will give you the opportunity to inform us of any food related or other allergy you may have. There are horses, a dog, and bees on property.

Is there a rooming option that includes a private bathroom?

It is possible to configure the master bedroom with exclusive use of the master bathroom at an extra cost. If interested please inquire here.

Is the shared rooming co-ed?

The Studio is female only. The third floor Dormitory is co-ed.

I would like to come on a retreat however I can't make it to The Farm until day 2 of the retreat. Can I still come?

If this is your scenario please send us an email and we will let you know what is possible.

At this time we are not set up for children. We do however have plans to build out a day program and eventually multi-night stays for families.

I would like to buy the retreat experience and give it as a gift? Is this possible

Yes! Email us and we will send you a direct link to accommodate you.

What is the cancellation policy?

For all retreat bookings a full refund minus a $25 booking fee will be issued when cancellations are made prior to 45 days from retreat start, after which 50% of retreat booking fee will be returned. Exceptions made only for expecting mothers and for situations where there is acute injury, urgent medical attention required, or a death in the family. No expectations made for work travel.
